About Medicanova
We connect patients with licensed specialist doctors for telemedicine appointments. It started considerably smaller.
How it started
Medicanova began as a project during our student years in Berlin. It started with a simple question: why is getting to a legal treatment option so cumbersome? Appointments you wait weeks for, journeys across the city, paperwork on paper. That became an idea, then a prototype, and eventually a company. What has stayed is the standard we set back then: the patient comes first.
What we do
We build the digital route: the medical questionnaire, its transmission to a doctor and — where treatment is medically justifiable — forwarding the prescription to a pharmacy. Which pharmacy is your choice. We favour none.
Why online
For many people, a specialist assessment is a long way off. Going online shortens that — but it does not replace a physical examination. Where one is needed, remote treatment ends. We would rather say so beforehand than afterwards.
